Emerge 2007!

Emerge has just ended yesterday and i miss the prescence of God i experienced there already. got to fellowship more with my cell group members during this time despite my ushering duties. Love has started to show in the cell group and i believe that the time will come for us to grow like never before. i admit that i was dry before Emerge even started and i wanted something more. Even when i was serving, i wasn't showing much fire in it and i wanted to have the fire back again to serve. it was during one service when i was serving and it was during praise. I didn't feel like praising but then, i remembered that God sees more value in your Praise when you are down. when i started praising, tears came rolling down my eyes. my heart was feeling so heavy. but the moment i started praising God, joy and peace came into my heart once again and i felt the fire once more.

when i was serving, i was praying to God that i must spend more time in service with my cell group, because i believe that relationship with the spiritual family comes before ministry. guess what. on the very same day, despite having to move from area to area, i was being led by a fellow usher to fill up empty seats in bravo terrace and my cell group was there! on the very same row with the empty seat! God works in unusal ways sometimes. i felt the urge to start doing what i did in the past again, to do my own fasting and prayers, to show my desire for God's prescence. i missed those days when i was in poly and i was so on fire, fasting and praying for my parents to get saved, and that i would spend 2-3 hrs reading his word before i went to bed. i really desire to have that passion in me once again. though i know that the Holy Spirit is in me, it cannot move in my life unless i let it move. i'll start to do so once again. i'll ask God to guide me to the next direction he wants me to go.

time flies so fast. soon i'll be left with 1 year in NS and i'll start to move into my next step in life as a young adult.
